Wanting to share my travelogue was the reason that prompted me to create this site, and I hope that my impressions and evaluations will be helpful to future pilgrims who decide to set out on the Cammino Materano.

It is an account that by its nature is flawed from my point of view, but because of that it is genuine, sincere and authentic.

Please note: having traveled the via Ellenica from Matera in the direction of Alberobello, my numbering of the stages follows this order, and is therefore backwards from the canonical one.
