The Via Peuceta connects Bari to Matera in seven stages, covering about 166.9 km in total—an average of 23.8 km per day.
The route begins at the Basilica of Saint Nicholas in Bari and crosses the ancient region of Peucezia, winding through lush olive groves and wide open steppes on the Murge plateau. Along the way, you’ll encounter woodlands, karst ravines, and striking rocky landscapes.
